The road goes ever on and on

Out from the door where it began

(Claudia on our first date, after a prodigious dinner:  "I could eat more!")

Now far ahead the road has gone

But I at last with happy feet

Will turn towards home again

My evening-rest and sleep to meet

Tomorrow we may come this way

And take the hidden paths that run

Towards the Moon or to the Sun
